Today, Autodesk has announced the release of the 2015 versions of AutoCAD for Mac and AutoCAD LT for Mac.

Qualifying Autodesk LT Family product licenses are eligible to be submitted for Auto CAD LT Family product subscriptions only. Customer agrees to discontinue use of submitted perpetual licenses. Offer available from August 7 until October 23, 2020 in the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

To purchase AutoCad LT 2015 and use a virtual windows software on my Mac. The downside with alternative 2 is that it takes a lot of power from my computer. The risk with alternative 1 is that it is not fully compatible with files created from other AutoCad products.
